WACO, Texas (March 16, 2023) – Baylor University’s Office of Spiritual Life, in partnership with multiple campus ministries and local churches, will again host FM72, a gathering of college students for 72 hours of continuous prayer Sunday through Wednesday, March 19-22, on Fountain Mall. In addition, each night at 8 p.m., students will gather on Fountain Mall for worship and to hear from God’s Word. Worship also will be livestreamed on the FM72 website.
WACO, Texas (March 1, 2023) – The music of the legendary gospel music singer and songwriter Andraé Crouch will be featured at a series of free concerts, panels and presentations as part of Baylor University’s 2023 Pruit Memorial Symposium, “My Tribute: The Life and Legacy of Andraé Crouch,” which will be held March 15-18.
DALLAS, Texas (Feb. 28, 2023) – The Baylor University Louise Herrington School of Nursing (LHSON) has received a five-year renewal of its program in cooperation with the United States Army Graduate Program in Anesthesia Nursing (USAGPAN).
WACO, Texas (Feb. 28, 2023) – Baylor University will celebrate Women’s History Month, highlighting the contributions of women to events, history and contemporary society through a series of events in March.
WACO, Texas (Feb. 24, 2023) – Baylor University today announced a $3.7 million gift from Jay and Jenny Allison of Frisco, Texas, to support the Give Light Capital Fund, as well as scholarships benefiting Baylor Law and the George W. Truett Theological Seminary. Baylor will recognize the couple’s philanthropic support through the naming of the Jay and Jenny Allison Development Center within the Paul and Alejandra Foster Pavilion.
WACO, Texas (Feb. 24, 2023) – At its regular February meeting, the Baylor University Board of Regents took action on several committee recommendations and received reports on a number of strategic University matters, including Baylor’s pioneering Faith and Character Study.
WACO, Texas (Feb. 23, 2023) – Baylor University today announced a gift of approximately $6 million from the estate of Harold W. Dunn of Ballwin, Missouri, supporting the School of Music’s Center for Christian Music Studies. Dunn, an alumnus and retired elementary school music teacher, gave the entirety of his estate to the University, making the largest gift in the School of Music’s 100-year history.
WACO, Texas (Feb. 21, 2023) – Marking the anniversary of Russia's heightened aggression in Ukraine, two Ukrainian scholars will present the current situation in Ukraine and explain it from a historical perspective. The multidepartment-sponsored event will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 23, in Kayser Auditorium of Hankamer Cashion Building, 401-499 Speight Ave. The event is free and open to the public.
DALLAS and WACO, Texas – Leaders from the Baptist General Convention of Texas (BGCT) and Baylor University have jointly reviewed the relationship agreement between the two organizations and deemed no changes are necessary. The special agreement, initially agreed upon on November 4, 2011, calls for a joint review by the BGCT and Baylor every 10 years. The most recent review was delayed two years as both organizations managed through the COVID-19 pandemic.
WACO, Texas (Feb. 20, 2023) – Forty-six students from nine Central Texas schools were awarded medals from the Waco Scottish Rite Charitable Foundation for their winning projects in the 2023 Heart of Texas Regional History Fair (HOTRHF), held Feb. 16 on the campus of Baylor University.

WACO, Texas (Jan. 26, 2023) – Baylor University is mourning the death of Clement T. Goode Jr., Ph.D., Professor Emeritus of English who taught at Baylor for 40 years until his retirement in 1997. Dr. Goode died peacefully Jan. 24, 2023, at the age of 93.

As Tru Jamaica begins the long journey to rebuild and reopen, the small family business will continue operating and serving its authentic Jamaican cuisine this spring on the Baylor University campus.
WACO, Texas (Jan. 18, 2023) – The 2023 spring severe weather season is not too far away, and the National Weather Service and local public safety officials want you to be ready. WACO, Texas (Jan. 5, 2023) – Following a nationwide search, Baylor University Provost Nancy Brickhouse, Ph.D., announced today that Daniel J. Pack, Ph.D., dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and a 2005 Carnegie U.S. Professor of the Year, has been selected as dean of the Baylor School of Engineering and Computer Science. His appointment is effective June 1.
WACO, Texas (Dec. 20, 2022) – Baylor University offices and most facilities will be closed during the Christmas and New Year holidays from Friday, Dec. 23, to Monday, Jan. 2, 2023.
